(Argentina CNSAM). December 6, 2014, in the capital city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Central District celebrated their 95 Assembly.
The District Assembly began with a time of worship and a devotional given by Dr. Christian Sarmiento, the Regional Director for the Church of the Nazarene’s South America Region. Later, Dr. Sarmiento also directed the time of reports and voting. Rev. Juan José Zani, Field Strategy Coordinator for the Southern Cone Field and Jorge Durán, the District Superintendent accompanied Dr. Sarmiento in leading the meetings.
In a spirit of unity and fellowship the pastors told those present of the various activities that take place in their churches and the creative ways God has given them to reach the different sectors of their surrounding areas, motivating others to reach toward new horizons.
The Assembly concluded with a session about “Prayer for the Persecuted Church” shared by Dr. Jerry Porter, General Superintendent in jurisdiction, and his wife Tony. In closing, they taught those present a song in Spanish and Arabic.
After a break, the celebration continued with a moving ordination service. Dr. Porter preached and directed the ordination of: Robin Brunson de Radziszewski, Seyda Guevara and Pedro Roque Pachado, reminding them of their responsibilities and praying for each one of them.
