(Chile CNSAM). On December 26, 2015 we received information from pastor Juan José Zani, FSC for the Southern Cone, about the Argentina Litoral District and Uruguay, which have been hit by flooding. He informed us that the Salto Church of the Nazarene, in Uruguay is housing some families whose homes were affected and most people have found shelter in public care centers opened by Government Officials and other community organizations.
Let’s pray for all the families who are going through this adversity and for the time when they will be able to return to their homes, many of which will need to be rebuilt and/or work done to recover what was washed away.
Many are the needs such as building and cleaning supplies, mattresses, diapers, water and other things that are necessary to survive. Volunteer help is also needed to coordinate the logistics of the distribution of the donations from the collection, sorting, and transportation to receiving and distributing the gifts to help those who were flooded.
“Our expectation is to remain attentive to the requests of the affected districts in order to obtain all necessary assistance. Therefore, as we have opportunity, (as it says in Galatians 6:10) let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” affirmed pastor Juan.
