(Brazil CNSAM). In the city of wells, Caldas, Brazil, a Nazarene pastors’ retreat was held.
From September 16-19, 2014 the Northeast Paulista district, under the leadership of the District Superintendent, Rev. Fernando Olivera, organized a pastoral retreat, “Caring for the Caregiver”, aimed at pastoral families. Six districts from the country were represented in the more than 200 attendees who enjoyed a time of fellowship, rest and talks about the care of the pastor. At the same time the children also enjoyed a time of recreation especially prepared for them.
At the beginning and end of each day talks aimed at the pastors were held: Ildo Mello, Aguiar Valvassoura, Geraldo Nunes Filho, Luis Henrique Biazon and Josue Goncalvez commented, “Pastors are always caring for someone but who cares for them? We want to start doing this. This meeting was an awakening to further address this issue through small groups of pastoral care for the pastor, as in life we haven’t allowed them to grow and they need the care of others.”
