(Ecuador CNSAM). On May 3, 2015, the Church of the Nazarene La Puerta Abierta, of Ambato, Ecuador, celebrated its second anniversary, giving glory to God for all the challenges and victories that it has experienced in its two years of existence.
There were 100 people present for the celebration, where the local leaders presented their God-given gifts and talents through special music, choreographies, and planning of the celebration.
The participants were blessed by the presence of District Superintendent Rev. Mario Paredes, and his family. Superintendent Paredes presided the baby dedication for Abby Sarai, the daughter of Pastors Lenilde Huaman and Consuelo Bereche.
Pastor Lenilde Huaman shared the message about the following: The church is indestructible if its base is Jesus Christ, challenging every member and leader to put their focus in Jesus, so that the work can continue with new future goals.
Some members of the Extreme Nazarene Missions team were present to celebrate the work that God has done and will continue to do in Ambato. It is great to see how the local leaders continue working to expand the Kingdom of God in the city only two and a half months after the missionaries left.
The celebration finished with a joyful time of fellowship by sharing delicious snacks.
