(Ecuador CNSAM). A training workshop for SDMI (Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International) was held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the district center of the Coast District in Guayaquil.
It was a national event and brought together presidents and leaders of SDMI from the districts and local churches. 50 persons attended representing five of the six districts that are presently in the country.
The activity, for the first time, included the participation of the Regional Coordinator of SDMI, Rev. Patricia Picavea. She shared a dynamic workshop entitled “Each piece in its place”, which dealt with the organization and administration of Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries.
The workshop included the promotion and explanation of the Sunday School and Discipleship materials for all ages and other materials available for work in the local church. This brought about an increase of orders for materials at the Nazarene bookstore.
The activity began at 9 A.M. and finished at 4 P.M. At the noon mealtime Rev. Patricia Picavea shared with the district presidents of SDMI.
The general organizer of the event, Rita Barco, national coordinator of SDMI for Ecuador, said she felt very pleased and challenged with the activity. She also said the objectives had been met.
