(Brazil CNSAM). For 14 years now, in the city of Curitiba, Brazil, the Child Development Center has been tending to over 130 children.
The center is in a community of low income families in which the head of the family has to go to work all day in the city or stay and collect and recycle trash. So monday thru friday, all day long, the center receives children from 2 to 7 years of age to give them their three daily meals, early development training, christian education and a place to play and share life.
A staff member tells that the children coming to the Center were suffering a lot in their adaptation and had an inexplainable fear. Once they were able to build some trust they found out that many of the families were involved in casting spells and so this affected the children’s spiritual and emotional health. They began to pray to God to free them and they saw great changes happen.
And so the Center is not only busy feeding and educating but tends to the spiritual lives of these children and their families as well.
