Dr. Dan Copp, Global Education Commissioner for the Church of the Nazarene, visited the Pervian Amazon for the first time while serving as the guest preacher for the occasion. The Nazarene Bible Instute (IBN) is located on the banks of the majestic Marañon River in the province of Bagua, Amazonas. This Bible school dates from the 1970s when it was started by Dr. Larry Garman for the purpose of preparing leaders and pastors among the Awajún and Huambisas tribes. For more than four decades it has served the Church of the Nazarene in these communities and other neighboring provinces.
We thank God for the ministry of IBN under the leadership of the current director Rev. Oscar Esamat and his excellent team.
