(Ecuador CNSAM). After almost 11 years of missionary service on the North Andean Field, Dana Howard and his family are returning to the United States to serve in a local church in Missouri.
Dana and Sherry Howard are global missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene. Dana earned a B.A. in Religion from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1993, and a Master’s of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary, Kansas City, in 1996. Before their present assignment, the Howards planted the North County Community Nazarene Church in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. Dana was ordained in 1998 on the West Canada District.
Dana and Sherry are parents to three daughters and one son: Courtney, 17, Candace, 15, Christa, 13 and Christian, 19 who attends Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Among other responsibilities, Dana served as the Assistant to the North Andean Field Strategy Coordinator and later as the Coordinator of Integral Ministries. Sherry worked with the Child Sponsorship Program of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
As Coordinator of Integral Ministries, Dana was a fundamental part of the growth and development of those ministries. As they say goodbye, they are thankful to God for the opportunity to know people from other cultures with a powerful ministerial focus on the knowledge of the Bible. “It was a wonderful time for me and my family to be in Ecuador and learn so much from you all,” said Dana.
