(Peru CNSAM). In the midst of an atmosphere of great joy, the ll National Women’s Congress was held in the beautiful and loved city of Cajamarca June 19-22, 2014.
With the theme “Women after God’s Heart”, more than 300 Nazarene women from all over Peru received God’s word, presented by Patricia Picavea of Argentina; Margit de Sarmiento of Colombia; and Adán Sánchez and Oscar Medina of Peru.
During this time many activities were held. Such as, Bible quizzing competition, in which the Pacifico Norte team won. There was also a parade of the different typical clothing from each region of Peru as well as the unforgettable Talent Night. On Saturday the participants enjoyed a touristic trip to the Porcón farm, an evangelical cooperative community in Cajamarca which is considered a model of development in Peru as well as the whole world (http://www.granjaporcon.org.pe). The event ended on Sunday with an emotional service and a challenging message.
Pastor Oscar Medina, director of the event said: “This Congress has been a special time of training and challenge to our faith and the living testimony of God’s power. Because of this we can say we have accomplished the goal of training and strengthening in the faith of our participants as they return to share what they received to their local churches with lots of enthusiasm.
