(Ecuador CNSAM). From Friday, May 31 to June 1, 2013, there was a District Leadership Workshop held in Guayaquil, Ecuador. There were 123 in attendance at the activity that included pastors, lay leaders and experienced speakers, such as Dr. Christian Sarmiento, Regional Director; Eduardo Meza, Superintendent of the Ecuador Coast District; Hernán Puga, Superintendent of the Ecuador North Sierra District and Rev. Sergio Fonseca Ballesteros, host pastor.
The activity was held in “La Prosperina” Church of the Nazarene, the first church founded in Ecuador by missionaries Arlene and Alfred Swain in 1973, where pastor Rev. Oswaldo Fonseca, father of the present pastor, also participated in the foundation of the church.
This is the first such activity held this year and it will be part of a series of leadership activities that will be developed in the next few years. The next leadership activity for this year is programmed for this coming October.
