(CNSAM Argentina) On Wednesday, March 30, 2016 the 10th meeting of Superintendents and District Coordinators of Decentralized Theological Studies program – South Cone was held.
The team meets annually with the purpose of informing and working on the advancement of the decentralized Bachelor of Theology program that functions in different DTS district centers in Argentina and Uruguay. The Theological Seminary currently has more than 60 extension centers where over 700 students are trained for the ministry.
The day included on its agenda a devotional, where the message of God’s Word was brought by Rev. Juan José Zani, Strategy Coordinator of the South Cone field, reports given of the different academic programs in the three arrangements that the seminar offers (Face to Face, Extension and Virtual), as well as proposals for new programs that are being implemented, such as Bachelor in Youth Leadership program. These reports were given by Dr. Jorge Julca, Dean of the South Cone DTS program, Eduardo Velazquez, Academic Vice-Dean, Pablo Tello, DTS Coordinator for the South Cone, and Marco Rocha, Coordinator of the Virtual arrangement.
The agenda of the meeting also included a presentation by Dr. Eduardo Tatangelo, educational professional, writer, and Dean of Buenos Aires Bible Institute, which addressed the theme of “Current Problematic Education Issues in Theological Institutions”.
We thank God for time shared with superintendents and coordinators of the South Cone DTS program. It was a fruitful time of evaluation and projection for Theological Education in this area.
