(Argentina CNSAM). June 8, 2015, the Church of the Nazarene in South America presented “Nazarene Strengths” as a tool for the local church to identify the essential characteristics which allow it to develop as a church that lives out the Great Commission and transforms its community.
“Nazarene Strengths” is based on the seven Nazarene characteristics: Meaningful worship, Theological coherence, Intentional discipleship, Passionate evangelism, Transformational leadership, Church development and Purposeful compassion.
Through a series of statements, “Nazarene Strengths” guides the pastor and leaders of the congregation to identify the development of each Nazarene characteristic in the context of the ministry of that local church.
Pastors, district superintendents, missionaries and Regional ministry coordinators participated in the creative process of this tool. “Nazarene Strengths” was presented by the General Superintendents of the Church of the Nazarene during the 2013 General Assembly. The purpose was to promote who we are and what we believe as Nazarenes.
We invite each pastor and leader to be part of “Nazarene Strengths” and to share this great tool. To know more about this initiative, visit: http://nazarene.org/essentials in English or www.fundamentosnazarenos.org in Spanish and Portuguese.
