(Brazil CNSAM). In the Brazilian Amazon, a new boat is under construction that will continue the missionary work in the Ribereña regions of the Amazon taking medicinal, social and evangelistic care.
Toward the end of 2011, the boat “Jesus the Hope”, fulfilled it’s socio-evangelistic mission after passing through a great storm. Thankfully, there were no human losses, but material losses and the boat had to be sold. With the funds from the sale along with offerings brothers and sisters from different Nazarene churches, a new aluminum boat 18 meters in length by 4 meters in width is being constructed, with a capacity to carry 25 passengers and 5 crew.
The construction is meticulous and it is hoped to be able to complete it by March of this year. Meanwhile, a boat is being rented to continue giving attention the Ribereña towns, contacted in 2012, to reach the communities of Kambebas, Parintins, Novo Aião, and Barés.
