(Bolivia CNSAM). The youth congress “On Fire Bolivia 2015” was held on May 1-3, 2015, near the city of Cochababa, Bolivia.
The event was held 9 km from Cochabamba and was attended by 258 young people from all districts of Bolivia: El Alto, La Paz, Oruro, Los Yungas, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz. These people participates as speakers: Jhonny Torrez, National Coordinator of NYI; Napoleon Guerrero, District Superintendent Los Yungas and Integral Ministries Coordinator for Bolivia; Jesse Murga, President of Nazarene Theological Seminary Central Area; Liliana Reza, Regional Coordinator of Global Mission; and Jimmy De Gouveia, Regional Coordinator of NYI.
Under the overall emphasis of consecration and being called, these workshops and preaching topics were covered: The Great Love; Called to Holiness; “I See, I Am, and I Do It”; Maximum Mission; call to ministry; among others – topics that challenged and invited greater commitment to attendees.
One of the most striking reflections on youth were the words of Jimmy De Gouveia when he reminded them that every human being came to earth with a purpose… no accident… But with a purpose from God to meet and bless society. This motivated and challenged young people to leave the four walls of the temple, seeking to reach those who do not yet know Christ.
The current national coordinator of NYI said, “While these young people have been cared for and motivated during the previous three years by the love and passion of Pastor Edwin Apasa, this conference was a blessing, an injection of passion for the lost. We are now challenged to support and guide them, since they have returned to their churches, motivated to go for more. The greatest difficulty in this is the distances between the churches, some up to 17 hours away. But God will provide the resources needed to achieve it.”
