(Uruguay CNSAM). In Montevideo, on August 25, 2012, most of the districts of Southern District of Uruguay participated in a pastors’ retreat Southern District of Uruguay with District Superintendent, Rev. Jesus Bernat.
The retreat’s main objective was dialogue between pastors and their wives. In a framework of friendship and fellowship, some of the issues addressed were the restoration of ministries and growth necessary for the expansion of God’s kingdom in South Uruguay. “The Church of Uruguay is aimed at multiplication, for this reason we need to renew ourselves to God’s purpose.”
The focus of the retreat, while clearly pastoral and ministerial, gave them the opportunity to share a time of fellowship while they enjoyed a delicious barbecue. The situation led to a deeper understanding of those who in recent months have integrated a pastoral group in the District.
“Then the churches all had peace throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified walking in the fear of the Lord, they were multiplied and strengthened by the Holy Spirit” (Acts 9:31).
