(Argentina CNSAM). Extreme Nazarene Missions is pleased to announce that Junior and Jaci Rodrigues have been selected as lead pastors for the church plant in Córdoba, Argentina.
Pastors Junior and Jacilene (Jaci) are from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil and have been serving as missionary pastors in Formosa, Argentina for the last two years. They first sensed God’s calling to missions over ten years ago, and shortly after began participating in mission trips within Brazil. In 2006, Junior and Jaci experienced their first intercultural mission experience when they served in Argentina for one month.
During this time they received confirmation from the Lord to serve Him in Argentina full-time. Prior to their service as pastors in Formosa, Argentina, they worked as youth pastors at the Central Church of the Nazarene in Recife for over two years.
The couple participated in a scouting trip to Córdoba in April to look for housing for the 40/40 missionary team and decide which area of Córdoba to plant the church. They then flew to Cali, Colombia to meet the team in person and to receive one month of training on the Master’s Plan. Junior and Jaci have one daughter, Hadassa, who recently turned 5 years old.
Pastors Junior and Jaci say, “We are full of joy and emotion to be able to serve the Lord in this beautiful city. It is a great privilege to be in the center of the Lord’s will in our lives. We believe that God will use us to expand his Kingdom in Córdoba. In effect, we are collaborators in God’s service (1 Corinthians 3:9). United so that all will know His love, until He returns!”
On May 21, Pastors Junior and Jaci, along with the missionary team will arrive in Córdoba to begin planting the church. The missionary team will work until April 2017, and Pastors Junior and Jaci are committed to staying at least four years. Córdoba is the second largest city in Argentina and has very little presence of the Church of the Nazarene.
