(Ecuador CNSAM). April 24-25 there was a Pastor’s and Laymen’s conference SEDLO in Riobamba, Ecuador.
The theme of the SEDLO Conference was Holiness, Evangelism, Discipleship, Leadership and Prayer. Sixty-eight leaders, both pastors and laypersons, met with the principal objective of motivating them to accept the challenge of planting new churches.
Dwight Rich, North Andean Area Strategy Coordinator (Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela) gave the first devotional speaking of the vital necessity of having the experience of Entire Sanctification in order to have effective evangelism. Then there was a time at the altar before beginning the training workshops.
The speakers were: the district superintendents, Mario Paredes, Eduardo Meza and Hernán Puga; the National Evangelism Coordinator, Rodrigo Olmedo and the Integral Ministries Coordinator, Esdras Jiménez. The themes were: “Why Plant Churches?”, “Church Planting Problems and Solutions”, “Biblical Principles for Planting Churches” and “Nazarene Identity”.
Although the main theme was about planting churches, special emphasis was put on the identity of the Church of the Nazarene, which will remain united through its doctrine, the biblical doctrine of holiness.
