(Argentina CNSAM). In an atmosphere of joy and thanksgiving, the Southern Cone Nazarene Theological Seminary (STN) celebrated its 2013 graduation. Students from districts throughout the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile and Uruguay) received their graduation certificate from the various academic programs offered by the institution on November 16, 2013.
There were 28 who graduated from the different programs:
Diploma in Theology: Pablo Daniel Giordano, Miriam Estrella Silvera and Ricardo Alfredo González Díaz from Uruguay South; Jimena González Díaz, David Mergel, Teresa Ocaño Magallanes, Belia Piñeiro Rodríguez and María de los Ángeles Sosa Pérez from the Uruguay North District.
Bachelor’s in Theology: Martina del Valle Amaya from the Northeast Argentina; Carina Rita Contreras from the district Litoral of Argentina; Alejandrina Nélida Alarcón, Lorenzo Bernardo Gómez de la Silva, Gerónimo Matías Migliore and Andrea Verónica Marenco from the Central Argentina district; María Haydee Peña from the Uruguay North District and Carlos Damián Penen from the Uruguay South district.
Licensure in Theology: Alberto Croce from the Mediterranean Argentina district and Claudia Patricia Sánchez from the Cuyo Argentina district.
Diploma in Theological Instruction (formal training program for theology instructors): Alicia Da Rosa Umpierrez from the Uruguay South district; Ezequiel Ever E. Ramírez from the Paraguay Central district; Lino Tejerina from the Patagonia Central Argentina district; Dany Etler Flores, Seyda Clarivel Guevara, Mirtha Graciela Méndez, Ireneo Poroma, Marco Antonio Rocha, Pablo Sebastián Tello Pujado and Eduardo Velázquez from the Central Argentina district.
The ceremony took place at the Southern Cone Nazarene Theological Seminary (STN Cono Sur), and several leaders for the Church of the Nazarene participated. Rev. Juan José Zani, Southern Cone Field Strategy Coordinator, preached the Word of God. Others in attendance included Rev. Jorge Julca, Rector for the STN Cono Sur and South America Regional Education Coordinator; Rev. Jesús Bernat, Superintendent for the North and South Uruguay districts and President of the Administrative Board for STN Cono Sur.
The program included prayers of thanksgiving, songs of praise, words of encouragement for the graduates, the special participation of the Vocal Group AQD, testimonies of graduates on behalf of their colleagues, the presentation of certificates, gifts for the graduates and the message from the Word of God. At the conclusion, the cake was cut and a time of fellowship was enjoyed with those present.
Thank God that these brothers and sisters who have been called to the ministry had the opportunity to complete their ministerial studies. May they be used mightily!
