(Argentina CNSAM). On February 11, 2012 pastor Angel Soria, assumed the Superintendency of the Buenos Aires East District (BAO) in Argentina. He immediately assumed the pastorate of the church located in the city of Nine de Julio considering it an area with great growth potential.
They had an attendance of three members. The building didn’t have the windows in place, there were no working restroom facilities, there was no water, and the electrical installation was precarious at best. They could count on only three faithful brothers willing to pray and work towards the growth of the church. Missionary, Carlos Radi, joined these brothers with his work team from the Moreno Central Church of the Nazarene and the brothers from the Barrio Toro Church of the Nazarene and their pastor, Guillermo Arias. Together, on July 9, 2012, they conducted an evangelistic event with the participation of the musical group, Manto Real. From that day, with the help of missionary, Carlos Radi, and the Jesus Film they began small groups. Missionaries, Wimar Rojas and his wife Jessica started a children’s Bible Study on Saturdays.
On July 21, 2012, Gustavo and Maricel Buonanno joined the work as co-pastors and on September 16, 2012, together with various people that they knew from the city of Nueve de Julio began to work on the church building. They worked very late every day contributing their money to buy materials with the only motivation of serving the Lord.
In mid-October they began with prayer meetings and on Saturday the 20th of that month they celebrated the first general worship service with an attendance of more than 100 people. A miracle of God.
“Right now, the group of influence is 30 people, and the plan is to disciple them with an evangelistic profile,” said Rev. Angel Soria, pastor of the church. “My goal,” he continued, “is pray to establish another church in downtown Nueve de Julio around the middle of next year and from there extend to the cities nearby. God has a plan, and it is that every person come to the knowledge of the Truth, and the Lord calls us to be part of this plan.”
