The End of a Mission

(Argentina CNSAM). On March 28, 2015 at 73 years of age, after fighting a lung disease, pastor Alfredo de los Rios died due to a pulmonary edema.

Pastor Alfredo was a man passonate for the gospel thinking only about how to “win souls”, which was his favorite phrase.

He was born January 3, 1942 in the city or Rosario and where he lived all of his life. He met Beatriz Norma Hernandez and after 7 years of dating they married on October 13, 1967, beginning their family project. They had two children, Alejandro Omar and Fabian Alfredo, who formed their fmailies and gave them 3 grandchildren.

In 1984 Beatriz was invited to a prayer cell in the Assemblies of God Church. She had a health problem which began to improve which provoked an interest in Alfredo to know what his wife was living. This was how he began to attend the cell group and later an evangelistic campaign with pastor Carlos Anacondia, where he decided to give his life to Christ.

Two years later they began to attend the Barrio Alberdi Church of the Nazarene. At that time he recived a call to preach and in 1995 he accpeted the challenge to prepare thologically and work in this local church as a copastor with pastor Ruben Perez. He was in charge of more than 50 houses of prayer and his main responsiblity was the visitation ministry.

In his 20 years of service to God and the church he was sure of one thing and he refered to that through his favorite Bible verse: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.
