(Argentina CNSAM). Acebal, which was designated provincial capital of poetry by Provincial Decree, it is a village 35km from the city of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
Acebal was founded on 1890 and didn´t have any Church of the Nazarene. The pastor and the district superintendent Rev. Rubén Concia, is also the director of FM del Sur 94.3 MHz, a community radio station that has it studios on the top floor of the Church of the Nazarene that he pastors in the South of the city.
The radio, at first, is reaching distant locations as Acebal Piñeiro and San Nicolás, where there is no Church of the Nazarene. A family that lives in Acebal began to tune radio programs from FM del Sur and made contact with the Church of the Nazarene. They didn´t only reconciled with the Lord but also shared Christ to other three families.
On March 31, 2012 on Acebal was held an evangelistic event with the name of “Family Congress” where the pastor and medical Marcela Castillo and the pastor Stella de Pulpeiro gave a speech about family issues. Attracted by the subject, many residents of the area assisted and the pastor Rubén Concia had the opportunity to end the Congress praying for the families that attended.
After that activity, began regular meetings every 15 days in a home in Acebal, where a group of the Church of the Nazarene from the South of Rosario goes. On Sunday, May 20 six people from Acebal were baptized and became part of the nascent Church of the Nazarene in that place. God worked in a special way and today they are heading for the task of finding a place to rent and begin public worship.
The church is using the ministry of radio FM del Sur to proclaim the gospel and give service and information to the community and reach new cities.
