(CNSAM Uruguay) On April 15th in the city of Dolores, within the department of Soriano, the city was ravaged by a tornado.
As of this moment there is a reported death toll of 13 people because of the affects of the intense climate, a tornado and flooding. There are 800 homes completely destroyed, more than 2000 people are directly affected and many more have been displaced to public areas such as hospitals, recreational centers and churches.
The media reports that the situation is very serious, some people are still missing, homes and car have been completely destroyed, many trees uprooted. Throughout Uruguay there are several routes cut off because of overflowing rivers and streams.
Please pray for the people of Uruguay, in many cities they are still on red alert for possible serve thunderstorms with high winds.
