We Remember Missionary Ted Hughes

(USA CNSAM). On Friday, December 27, 2013, retired missionary Ted Hughes died at age 83.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, on October 10, 1931, Brother Hughes had been a missionary in the Church of the Nazarene since 1958. He attended Pasadena Nazarene University (now Point Loma Nazarene University) and earned a degree in theology. He was married to Mima, his wife, who served the Lord with him; they had two children, Gary and Cheryl .

During his life, Brother Ted served as a missionary in Cuba, Nicaragua, Uruguay, Chile, and Ecuador. During that time, he served in various positions as missions director, District Superintendent, director of the Bible school, theology professor, and administrator of the Regional Office for South America. After his retirement, he continued to serve through preaching, translation, writing books, and orientation of new missionaries.

We remember and feel the death of the missionary, friend, and counselor Ted Hughes. May God comfort the hearts of his wife, his children, and other relatives.
