(Ecuador CNSAM). Saturday, July 26 from 8:30AM to 1:30PM, a Workshop for the Growth of Pastors and Families was held at “El Sembrador” Church of the Nazarene. Fifty-five pastors and spouses and 15 pastors’ children attended the event.
The workshop was geared toward pastoral couples. It gave them tools for proper development and a healthy sexual life.
The pastors and their wives began the session with a devotional and prayer. Later, the pastor and psychologist Samuel Merlano shared a workshop for pastoral couples entitled, “Sexual Life of Couples who are God’s Ministers.” To finish the session, there was a time of questions and answers, followed by a time of refreshments.
During the adults’ activities, the district Sunday School Ministries held activities for the pastors’ kids. There was a devotional time, games, crafts, a movie & popcorn and drinks for the kids.
A delicious lunch for all those in attendance concluded the workshop.
The activity was organized by the Advisory Board and the District Superintendent for the Coast of Ecuador District and is part of the annual program to develop the pastors and their families. There are 61 members of the district pastoral team consisting of ordained and licensed ministers and those with a local license on the district.
