(Paraguay CNSAM). On January 9-11, 2015, in the city of Carapeguá, Paraguay, we had our 4th annual youth camp, unifying the youth from different churches in the country.
About 130 young people from Nazarene churches in the towns of Pilar, Encarnación, San Ignacio, Luque, San Lorenzo, Villa Loma Pyta, and Catita gathered together to celebrate. The theme was a challenge to break out from inside the walls of our churches and get involved in our local communities to share Christ’s love. They enjoyed three days of fellowship, entertainment, celebration services, and the study of the Word of God with Samuel Ferreira Martínez (NYI coodinator for Paraguay). Many young people were touched by the Lord and renewed a commitment to serve and be a part of reaching out and making a difference in their local communities.
This group not only received the blessing of our time together, but also demonstrated God’s love by participating in local work projects Saturday afternoon, which included planting vegetable gardens, painting, cleaning, and sharing the message of salvation with children from a nearby orphanage.
It is incredible to see the impact our young people can make, especially when they come together in unity, with one purpose, to glorify God though service and showing His love to others.
